You must certify that the work done is yours and that you have the appropriate permission to share the photos.

Judging & Results

You are judged on your work only, not where you come from, what products you use, or who you work with.

To give every entrant the fairest possible opportunity, independent Judges do not see any identifying information like names, professional backgrounds or country of origin. This means an amateur is judged on the exact same playing field as a pro.

Independent Judges from relevant industry backgrounds evaluate each submission on:

  • Overall look
  • Technical skill
  • Creativity (where applicable).

Category Winners
International Beauty Industry Award-Winners are the single highest-scoring entry in each of the 90+ categories, provided that the Judges determine that quality standards were met.

Finalists
Finalists in the International Beauty Industry Award are the next highest-scoring non-winning entries, again provided that quality standards were met.

Non-Finalists
Entrants that do not receive Judging scores high enough for Winner or Finalist status.

We want this award to be accessible to beauty artisans all over the world without having to invest in event tickets or travel, this is why we have chosen to not host an event to honor winners. This gives our winners the added bonus of the freedom to choose how to reveal their new elite status of IBI Award Winner.
